Two exhibits on Iran culture and attractions opens at the Art and Exhibition Hall in Germany.

Two exhibits on Iran culture and attractions kick off at the Bundeskunsthalle (the Art and Exhibition Hall) in Germany.

With a focus on Iran’s prehistoric cultural heritage as well as Persian gardens, the exhibitions opened to the public on Thursday in German city of Bonn

Mounted under the aegis of Iran’s National Museum as well as the Iranian Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization, the exhibits titled “Iran, Ancient Culture between Water and Desert” and “The Persian Garden, the Invention of Paradise”.

Several artifacts borrowed from Iran are on show at the German museum dating back to early Iranian civilizations.

“Iran, Ancient Culture between Water and Desert” reveals “treasures of the early Iranian civilisations that flourished between the seventh millennium BC and the rise of the Achaemenids in the first millennium BC,” the museum’s official website read.

As for “The Persian Garden, the Invention of Paradise”, the museum says, “Do come in and enjoy the paradisiac atmosphere of the Persian Garden, an oasis for the mind and the senses!”

Referring to the events, Mohammadreza Kargar, the director of Iran’s Museums and Historical Properties Department, was quoted by the media as saying that such exhibitions showcase “parts of Iran’s history and civilization to the world, providing a great opportunity for people who are not able to travel long distances to experience the country’s ancient culture.”

There is a fantastic variety of Persian gardens on offer across Iran, absorbing numerous local and international tourists each year.
